Man in Rajasthan held for assaulting and blackmailing more than 40 minor girls

Rajasthan: In a shocking incident, a man in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur has been arrested for his involvement in multiple sexual assault cases of minor girls. A native of Barmer, the accused is being held responsible for sexual assault and blackmailing more than 40 minors and women by creating explicit photos and videos. He even edited, circulated explicit photos and videos of his own mother in-law leading to his engagement being called off. The accused identified as Mukesh Kumar Damami has been arrested by the police.

Extortion after video calls

According to the police, Mukesh would approach women and would later engage in video calls with them. He used screen recorders to capture conversation without consent and would later edit those videos into sexually explicit content. He would then proceed to threaten women by circulating their intimate photos and videos, if he is not paid extortion money. The suspect is being interrogated under the POSCO act and police have found videos and photos of more than 40 girls and women hailing from 6 villages under jurisdiction of Samdari police station.  

Explicit content stored on Pen drive

Mukesh worked as a drummer in weeding ceremonies in Barmer, approaching women and establishing contact with them. After creating fake explicit content through videos and photos, he would blackmail girls and women into giving him money. A complaint was registered by one of the accused in Samdari police station on June 6. The victim told the police that Mukesh had been circulating explicit photos and videos of women for the past two months. Based on this, a report was filed against Mukesh. During the investigation police found out that Mukesh stored explicit content on a pen drive. It has also been reported that one minor girl and her mother, even committed suicide after receiving threats from the accused. After this incident, the accused was immediately arrested by the police.
