MCD is going all digital. After introducing QR codes on the gates of schools for a smooth admission process, the civic body is now promoting the concept of digital media of advertisements in public places. MCD has ordered the installation of LED screens at 22 prominent markets with seven in South Delhi alone.

MCD installs in public places, zonal offices
Officials on Wednesday informed that the screens have been installed. In addition to 22 LEDs in public places, 14 additional screens have been installed at MCD’s zonal officer for promoting public messages.
“LED screens double revenue collection in comparison to advertisement boards. It minimises the need for flex boards and helps in checking illegal advertisements in markets. Also, multiple advertisements can be showcased here, in addition to giving the market an aesthetic look,” the official said.
MCD has approved the installation of LED screens at several markets, including Basant Lok Market, Aurbindo Market, Malviya Nagar, East of Kailsah, Club Road in Punjabi Bagh, BK Dutta Market in Rajaouri Garden, Tilak Nagar Market, Kirti Nagar Furniture Market, Krishna Nagar Market in East Delhi, Spark Mall Kamla Nagar, Sector 3 Rohini, and Batra Complex at Mukherjee Nagar.
