Meerut News: The construction of the Gorakhpur-Shamli Green Field Economic Corridor Express has advanced, and inhabitants of Uttar Pradesh will soon benefit from a second motorway. The National Highway Authority of India will finish the 700-kilometer motorway, which would traverse 22 districts and 37 tehsils in the state.
A Strategic Lifeline near the Nepal-India Border
The Gorakhpur-Shamli Motorway, which is a part of the Punjab North-East Corridor, would pass close to the Nepal-India border. The motorway will improve road connectivity in the surrounding communities and be the third-largest green field motorway in the state when it is finished. The 700-kilometer-long Greenfield Motorway will be used for emergency jet landings in addition to facilitating traffic. The airstrip will be useful in overcoming obstacles China has posed through Nepal.
Transforming Uttar Pradesh’s Transportation Landscape
The motorway will link the state’s eastern and western halves. In the districts of Siddharthnagar, Santakbirnagar, Bahraich, Balrampur, and others, a survey has been carried out. The western and eastern ends of Uttar Pradesh will be connected by this motorway. Santakbirnagar, Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Bahraich, Lucknow, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Badaun, Rampur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Sambhal, Bijnor, Amroha, Meerut, Saharanpur, and Muzaffarnagar are just a few of the districts it will pass through before arriving in Shamli. Additionally, this corridor will contain the 594-kilometer-long Ganga Motorway. Cities and rural regions in the state that are located along the banks of the River Ganga would benefit from the Ganga Motorway. After construction is finished, a 6-lane motorway will encourage local industry growth and create jobs for the community. Additionally, it will strengthen both the state’s and the nation’s economies.
