Migrant Worker Beaten to Death in Kerala, Ten Detained

In Kerala's Ernakulam city, a mob viciously beat to death an Arunachal Pradesh migrant labourer.

Kerala News: In Kerala‘s Ernakulam city, a mob threw a migrant worker from Arunachal Pradesh, who was employed as a chef at a nearby restaurant, to the ground and beat him till he died. Ten persons have been detained by the police in relation to the crime.

Victim’s Cause of Death and Police Action

The victim, known as Ashok Das, was attacked by the mob in Muvattupuzha while he was leaving a female friend’s house, according to the police. It is currently unknown, yet, the official reason why Ashok Das was killed by the crowd.

A senior police officer declared, “It is confirmed that the victim was beaten to death by a group of people, and we have arrested 10 people.” The official also mentioned that a murder case had been filed.

Investigation Continues

According to the police, they are also looking into the possibility that other persons were involved in the migrant worker’s murder. Today, the victim’s cadaver will be given to his family in Arunachal Pradesh.
