MP News: As heavy Rains batter state, Pashupatinath temple in Mandsaur inundated due to heavy downpour

As Heavy Rains batter state, Chief Minister hold virtual meet to discuss the situation of the worst affected areas.

MP News: As heavy rains lash parts of the city, the pashupatinath temple in Mandsaur also submerged  after heavy downpour. Apart from this, many other temples built on the banks of the river are also submerged in water. Parts of the city like Khargone, Barwani, Dhar, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Alirajpur., Omkareshwar, Maheshwar and Ratlam have also received heavy rainfall resulting in water logging, jams and Power cuts in many areas. According to the Met Department, Indore, Dewas and Ujjain are also likely to witness heavy rains in the next two days.  

CM held Virtual Meet to discuss the situation

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also inspected the rain hit areas khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur and Indore and spoke to the officials about the current situation. He also held a virtual meet with the area officials and discuss the situation of the worst affected areas which needs attention. Rescue teams are also on stand by if the rain water enters inside the houses.

IMD issues Red Alert for Western MP

Meanwhile Met Department has also issued Red Alert for Western Madhya Pradesh with a prediction of heavy rainfall. The rescue teams have shifted over 200 people living in the low lying areas as the city records continuous downpour for the last 2 days.
