Muzzaffarpur News: Arpana Dubey was arrested on Tuesday 25 July from Bihar’s Muzzaffarpur district for allegedly tampering with the Date of Birth’s on Aadhar cards of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s Yogi Aadityanath. A case has been registered by the Ahmedabad Cyber Cell of Gujarat Police.

Grounds for Allegation

The man identified as Arpana Dubey a.k.a Madan Kumar has been arrested from the Sadatpur area of Bihar’s Muzzaffarpur District, originally belonging from the Gariba Gaon area of Muzzaffarpur district and is pursuing his graduation from a college in Sadatpur. As reported by Times Now, the accused has been charged by the Gujarat police on the grounds of attempting to tamper with the date of birth on Aadhar cards of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Aadityanath on the website among other things.

Muzzaffarpur’s Senior Superintendent of Police Rakesh Kumar said that Dubey was arrested after receiving reports on “information that there were attempts to tamper with Aadhar cards of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Aadityanath on the official website and the IP address was traced to the accused.”

The accused has been charged of changing date of birth of the two leaders and may have misused the forged Aadhar cards, he further added. A case has been registered in Ahmedabad against Dubey by the Cyber Cell of Gujarat police. The accused was arrested in a joint operation of Gujarat and Muzzaffarpur District police.

Proofs for Allegation                                                

SSP Muzzaffarpur Rakesh Kumar further added that Dubey was nabbed from Sadatpur Gaon of Kati Police station area after tracing his IP address and Mobile location. Dubey was held by the authorities for questioning after which he was transferred to Ahmadabad accompanied by the Gujarat Police on Wednesday 26 July. The data from devices confiscated from Dubey has been accounted for further investigation.
