NDA Bihar Manifesto 2025: 1 Crore Jobs, Free Education and ‘Lakhpati Didis’ Among Key Promises — What Will Tejashwi Yadav Do Now?

With NDA unveiling a manifesto full of promises for youth and women, Tejashwi Yadav faces pressure to respond with a counter vision for Bihar.

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has launched its Bihar Manifesto 2025, revealing a grand plan prior to the assembly polls. In addition to pledging 1 crore jobs, free education for girls through postgraduate study, and the initiative for rural women dubbed ‘Lakhpati Didi’, the NDA aims to present a development-centric, welfare-oriented presentation of the NDA government.

The manifesto was released in Patna by the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, and BJP leaders, and it offered an “empowered & prosperous Bihar.” The alliance called Job & Security, Women Empowerment, and Education “the pillars of the NDA government,” and emphasised its roadmap to ‘make Bihar self-reliant and strong.’

1 Crore Jobs & Skill Focus for Youth

Employment weighs heavily in the NDA promise – alongside creating 1 crore jobs across sectors via infrastructure growth, industrialization, and startups. Skill development programs and youth entrepreneurship will also accompany their system.

“This is a manifesto of possibilities, not a manifesto of slogans…” says Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, and “the NDA will be focused on real jobs, not political promised jobs.”

Sisters as Millionaires and Free Education for Women

The Lakhpati Didis scheme- patterned after the central government’s schemes for women’s empowerment that aim to make 1 crore women self-sufficient through self-help groups (SHGs) and micro-enterprises. The manifesto also advocates for free education for women until PG level, in addition to enhancing digital classrooms and enhancing scholarships for deserving students.

“Nitish Kumar stated, “This inclusive program represents our development agenda – starting with training our daughters through education to promoting rural women and entrepreneurship.”

Political Ripples: Attention diverted to Tejashwi Yadav

The audacious promises have now thrust political attention onto Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), who has frequently displayed his desire to be the “voice of Bihar’s young people.” During the 2020 election campaign, Tejashwi had clarified he would provide 10 lakh government jobs – a narrative that appealed to the youth of Bihar.

Political analysts note that the NDA’s fresh promise of employment will appeal directly to Yadav’s supporters. “Tejashwi will need a more substantial, more evolved plan to counter the NDA’s big promise,” said Sanjay Singh, a political commentator.

A Competitive Future

The NDA Bihar Manifesto 2025 is setting a high bar for welfare and growth; the separating political lines are public. While Nitish Kumar and the BJP project stability and accountability and connectivity and conjunto, opposition party politics will force their hand– keeping in mind the broader context of the parties leading secure, sustainably and as social forces on behalf of the people’s economy rather than the oppressing force of finance alone.
