Delhi-NCR’s transportation network is set for a major expansion as the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) finalizes the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for a new high-speed Namo Bharat corridor. The proposed line will connect Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida, and Greater Noida—bringing significant development and new employment opportunities across the region.
According to officials, construction on the project is expected to begin in April 2026, with an investment running into several hundred crores. The corridor is designed to decongest traffic, improve ease of travel, and accelerate the economic growth of NCR’s emerging zones.
A 61.5 km Corridor With Six Elevated Stations
The new Namo Bharat corridor will span 61.5 kilometers and feature six elevated stations strategically planned across high-demand locations:
- Gurugram: IFFCO Chowk, Sector-54
- Faridabad: Bata Chowk, Sector-85–86
- Noida: Sector-142–168
- Greater Noida: Surajpur
Planned with commuter convenience and urban expansion in mind, these stations are expected to serve lakhs of daily passengers and reduce travel time between corridors that currently rely heavily on road transport.
Route to Connect Major Economic & Residential Hubs
As per the project alignment, the Namo Bharat train will originate from IFFCO Chowk, passing through:
- Millennium City Centre Metro Station
- Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Marg
- Brigadier Usman Chowk
From here, the train will cross the Aravalli hill region and approach Gurugram–Faridabad Road near Gwal Pahari.
The route will then continue via:
- Hanuman Mandir
- Badkhal Enclave
- Shaheed Bhagat Singh Marg
- Leading finally to Bata Chowk
This combination of residential, commercial, and industrial nodes ensures that the corridor benefits both daily commuters and the working population traveling between Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
Big Employment Boost Expected
With construction beginning in 2026, the project is expected to generate thousands of jobs in civil works, engineering, operations, and ancillary services. Once operational, the corridor will also push real estate growth and increase business activity around the stations.
A Major Push in NCR’s Transport Vision
The upcoming project is part of the government’s broader strategy to strengthen regional mobility through high-speed, sustainable public transport. After the success of the Delhi–Meerut Namo Bharat stretch, this new corridor aims to further integrate NCR districts with faster, safer, and cleaner travel.
