Noida News: Connectivity Boost! Upcoming Metro Link to Connect Sector 62 With Namo Bharat’s Sahibabad Station

Learn about the upcoming changes to Delhi Metro as it connects two key lines and Namo Bharat station directly between Sahibabad and Noida.

Noida News: The metro route from Noida Sector-62 to Sahibabad is set to be extended, with the construction of five more stations en route. The purpose of this development is to enhance the direct connectivity between Noida and Ghaziabad. Additionally, the Namo Bharat train station and the Sahibabad metro station will be connected.

Interlinking Metro Lines

This metro expansion will join the Red and Blue lines in addition to connecting Noida and Sahibabad. The Namo Bharat train station and the Ghaziabad metro will be integrated, making it easier for commuters from Noida to get to Ghaziabad. By creating a direct connection to Ghaziabad, the proposed metro extension will improve metro connectivity between Noida and Sahibabad.

Metro Expansion Project Moving Forward

The project is set to proceed with negotiations soon after the amended DPR has been submitted, as stated by GDA’s Chief Engineer, Manvendra Singh. The Sahibabad Metro station and the Sahibabad Rapid Ex station will be connected by the extension. Because of this link, Rapid Metro users travelling from Dilshad Garden on the Red Line will be able to switch to the Blue Line with ease.

GDA Receives Amended DPR from DMRC

On Monday, the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) received the updated Detailed Project Report (DPR) from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The amended DPR, which runs from Sahibabad to Noida, now has five stations instead of the original four that were suggested.

Metro Project’s Estimated Expenditure Revised

The project’s estimated cost has increased from Rs 1517 crore to Rs 1873.31 crore in the updated DPR. The modification is the result of a thorough analysis of the project, which has a total size of 26691.30 square metres. Of total, 19001.20 square metres are owned by the government, while 7690.10 square metres are privately owned.

The project will be funded with 20% coming from the federal government and 80% coming from the state governments. This project will involve the departments of the state and local governments, necessitating communication with the administration.
