“Women Are Worshipped, But Never Respected”: Yadav’s Sharp Critique of Indian Society
As shown in the clip, Yadav was frustrated that there was a profound contradiction in the fact that women are deified in Indian culture and, at the same time, demeaned in a day-to-day environment. Citing the number of reported cases of harassment, violence, and insecurity, he pointed out the failure of societal norms as well as the government to provide dignity to women. His emotionally charged voice resonated with a lot of people, especially against the backdrop of a rise in such recent crimes committed against women in the country.
