A day after a shocking murder inside the ICU of Paras Hospital in Patna, Purnia MP Pappu Yadav arrived at the hospital premises to inspect the situation and demand accountability. However, his visit turned confrontational when he was denied entry by hospital guards and police officials.

Eyewitnesses reported that while the police personnel appeared with folded hands, requesting him to not enter, hospital security staff attempted to block his path, leading to a scuffle. A visibly angry Pappu Yadav allegedly slapped one of the guards during the altercation. 

Murder Inside ICU Sparks Outrage

The incident that triggered the MP’s visit involved a murder committed inside the ICU of Paras Hospital, an area typically known for high surveillance and restricted access. The audacity of the act has raised serious questions about Bihar's law and order situation, especially concerning safety in critical public spaces.

'President’s Rule Should Be Imposed' – Pappu Yadav

Speaking to reporters outside the hospital, Pappu Yadav expressed deep concern over the deteriorating law and order in the state. He said:

“Is anything left in Bihar now? Murders are happening inside ICUs. The system has completely collapsed. I demand President's Rule in the state.”

He also accused the government of turning a blind eye to rising crime, and questioned the lack of security even in medical institutions.

Political and Public Reaction

The incident has triggered widespread political reactions, with opposition leaders slamming the government for failing to maintain public safety. On social media, citizens expressed shock and anger over the increasing brazenness of such crimes in broad daylight.

Police Investigation Underway

Meanwhile, police have said that an investigation into the murder inside the ICU is ongoing, and CCTV footage is being examined. However, no detailed official statement has yet been issued about the identity of the attacker or the motive behind the killing.
