The Patna–New Delhi Vande Bharat Special Train officially began its commercial operations on Saturday, marking another milestone in expanding semi-high-speed connectivity between Bihar and the national capital. The train has been introduced to meet the increased travel demand during the festive season, offering passengers a faster and more comfortable travel option.

Stoppages and Schedule

According to Indian Railways, the train will depart from Patna Junction and make key stops at Ara, Buxar, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, and Prayagraj before reaching New Delhi.

  • Departure (Patna Junction): 6:00 AM
  • Arrival (New Delhi): 2:00 PM
  • Return (New Delhi): 3:00 PM
  • Arrival (Patna Junction): 11:00 PM

The total travel time between Patna and New Delhi has been reduced to around 8 hours, significantly cutting down the previous travel duration.

Railway officials said the introduction of this train will help ease congestion on existing routes during festivals such as Durga Puja and Diwali.
