Patna News: The district administration has set the prices for all routes in an effort to stop the widespread overcharging of passengers by Patna's auto rickshaw drivers. The Patna Regional Transport Authority has been requested to approve the revised prices. The minimum fee, under the revised rates, for a shared auto rickshaw to take you from Patna's Patliputra bus terminal to Sampatchak is Rs 10. The cost is Rs 120 for an auto rickshaw with a reservation.
New Auto Rickshaw Fare Structure in Patna Based on Passengers and Distance
The new prices are determined by the number of passengers and the distance. For instance, a shared auto rickshaw costs Rs 12 and a reserved auto rickshaw costs Rs 150 to travel from Patna's Gandhi Maidan to Rajendra Nagar. The maximum number of passengers that can be transported in an auto rickshaw has also been set by the district administration. Only two passengers can fit in a two-seater auto rickshaw, and only three passengers can fit in a three-seater.
