Patna News: In response to the decrease in temperature in Patna, the district administration, under the guidance of District Magistrate Kapil Ashok, has issued new orders regarding the operational hours of all private and government schools in the district. While the cold wave has eased in the region, sporadic cases of students falling ill in schools continue to be reported.
Revised School Timings
Effective immediately, all classes in Patna schools will now follow revised timings from 8 AM to 5 PM until February 10, 2024. These new directives also extend to coaching institutions and Anganwadi centers across the district. However, special classes related to the Mission Dakshta and board examinations will not be affected by these changes.
Background
Earlier, due to the intensification of cold weather, schools in Bihar had been completely closed for classes up to eighth grade, and timings for classes nine to twelve were adjusted. District authorities had enforced Section 144 in various parts of the state to curb the spread of illness among students. However, with the easing of cold conditions, modifications to the orders have been made.
