Pawan Kalyan: In Golllaprolu, Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan praised Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his strong stance on law and order. However, Kalyan criticized his own state’s Home Minister Anitha, calling for greater accountability in handling the state’s law enforcement challenges. He urged her to take full responsibility, suggesting that if he were in charge of the Home Ministry, things would be handled differently. He also hinted that he may consider taking over the Home Ministry role in the future if the situation remains unchanged.

Kalyan emphasized that law enforcement must act without leniency and pointed to recent criticism of the Andhra government’s police force, urging DGP accountability. He also questioned the influence of caste in cases of sexual assault, stressing that justice should be prioritized over social divisions.

Formation of Narasimha Varahi Ganam for Hindu Protection

In a move reminiscent of Yogi Adityanath’s formation of the Hindu Yuva Vahini in 2002, Pawan Kalyan announced a new brigade, the Narasimha Varahi Ganam (NVG), dedicated to protecting Sanatan Dharma. He clarified that while this brigade will uphold Hindu values, it will respect all religions and align with constitutional principles. Kalyan issued a warning against any group or individual attempting to disrespect other religions in Andhra Pradesh, stating his party would not tolerate such actions.

Yogi Adityanath’s Record on Law and Order

Citing Yogi Adityanath’s impact on law and order in Uttar Pradesh, Kalyan noted the achievements of the Hindu Yuva Vahini, an organization founded by Adityanath to promote Hindu ideology and fight against social discrimination. Yogi Adityanath’s tenure as UP Chief Minister since 2017 has seen over 12,500 police encounters, with 207 criminals killed, over 6,500 injured, and nearly 27,000 arrested. The highest number of criminal encounters occurred in the Meerut zone, with others in Varanasi and Agra, showcasing Adityanath’s strong law enforcement approach.
