Punjab News: 'Aap Di Sarkar, Aap De Dwar' Punjab's Unique Initiative Brings Government Services to Doorsteps

Punjab News: According to Punjab Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh, the state administration lead by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has established a standard for delivering citizen services to individuals at their doorstep through the "Aap Di Sarkar, Aap De Dwar" campaign. The Minister encouraged the public to actively participate in the suvidha camps in Chaugawan village, Alampur Bakka, Kartarpur city, and other locations to maximise the civic services offered there.

Objective of the Project

He continued by saying that the goal of this unique project by the Punjab government was to offer 44 different forms of municipal services to the residents of these camps, bringing government services closer to their homes and under one roof. According to the Minister, the Bhagwant Mann government launched this programme to help the populace, reaching out to the villages and mohallas to offer the advantages of civic services.

Helpline for Service Access

He went on to say that in order to help candidates receive these services at home, the Punjab government has also launched a helpline at 1076. In the meantime, the Minister paid attention to the issues that the visitors to the camps were facing and gave severe instructions to the officials regarding how to address the complaints that the individuals had brought up. He also gave the officials instructions to give the candidates first consideration and provide them with excellent services during the camps.

Diverse Civic Services Offered

The Minister also mentioned that citizens are receiving benefits from these camps, such as birth certificates, income certificates, scholarships, residence certificates, caste certificates, old age pensions, bill payment, revenue department record verification, marriage registration, death certificate copy, document attestation, rural area certificate, fard creation, common caste certificates, Shagun Scheme, land marking, countersignature of certificates, countersignature of police clearance certificate, and death certificate modification, among other services.
