Arvind Kejriwal

Punjab News: Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), initiated the party's campaign for the upcoming general elections in Punjab with a spirited rally. Kejriwal charged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with attempts to undermine the AAP-led government in Punjab by allegedly courting its MLAs. Amid these challenges, he urged Punjab's electorate to secure all 13 Lok Sabha seats for AAP, emphasizing the significance of strong representation in Parliament to advocate for the state's interests.

Arvind Kejriwal Accuses BJP of Destabilizing Bhagwant Mann Government; Seeks Full Victory in Punjab

During the campaign kickoff, AAP introduced a slogan to underscore the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the party's ambition to enhance Punjab's prestige through effective representation in Parliament. Kejriwal's rallying cry, "Sansad vich vee Bhagwant Mann, khushaal Punjab de vadhegi shaan," highlights this vision.

Kejriwal elaborated on the strategic importance of winning all 13 seats, linking it directly to the prosperity and development of Punjab, including the execution of public welfare projects and addressing bureaucratic hurdles at the national level. He promised that AAP MPs would be proactive in resolving issues such as the release of withheld rural development funds by directly engaging with concerned ministers.

The AAP leader also set sights beyond Punjab

The AAP leader also set sights beyond Punjab, claiming potential victories in Delhi, Haryana, Gujarat, and Assam, which would collectively increase AAP's parliamentary strength. This, he argued, would substantially boost the party's ability to influence national policy and secure resources for development.

Further, Kejriwal criticized the central government for withholding financial resources meant for Punjab and for political maneuvers aimed at destabilizing the state government. He accused the Centre and the Punjab governor of harassing Chief Minister Mann, positioning him as the lone warrior against these adversities. By securing a decisive victory in the Lok Sabha elections, Kejriwal contended that Punjab would send a strong contingent of MPs to support Mann and champion the state's causes in the national arena.
