Aam Aadmi’s voice heard in Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann praises budget as roadmap for people’s benefit

Punjab: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann praised Punjab’s budget as a representation of Aam Aadmi’s voice in their own language, stating that the budget is centred on quality education and health care services to ensure these fundamental facilities are available to economically vulnerable parts of society.

Budget presented in simple language with clear facts and figures

Participating in a budget debate in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, the Chief Minister stated that for the first time, the Finance Minister presented the budget for each and every section of society in simple language accompanied by crystal clear facts and figures, reflecting the reality that the state is on a high economic growth trajectory in the first year of his administration. His government, he claims, has established over 500 Aam Aadmi Clinics, in addition to delivering 600 units of free electricity per billing cycle, establishing 117 Schools of Eminence, and creating over 26, 000 government employment in a year, as well as repaying a Rs.36000 crore debt in a year.

Bhagwant Mann takes a shot at former Finance Minister

The Chief Minister assured the House, “This budget demonstrates our commitment, diligence, and loyalty to Punjab as we have provided a clear road map before the people to spend every penny of the treasury on the benefit of the people.” Bhagwant Mann also thanked all members of the House for making useful recommendations during the budget debate.

Aam Aadmi Party government establishes 500 Aam Aadmi Clinics

Taking a shot at the former Finance Minister, the Chief Minister stated that the so-called beautiful language of the budget had previously reduced this occasion to a monotonous process, and that people had been mislead by quoting paradigms from other nations. According to Bhagwant Mann, the same Finance Minister who submitted budgets for nine years during successive Akali-BJP and Congress regimes pushed the state to the brink of disaster. He mocked the former finance minister for criticising the government’s budget and referred to him as a chameleon who moved parties regularly to further his own interests.

Focus on quality education, establishment of 117 Schools of Eminence

The Chief Minister stated that his government was establishing 117 Schools of Eminence in the first phase, where youngsters from impoverished households studying in government institutions would be trained for competitive tests to help them to realise their parents’ goals. While describing Aam Aadmi clinics as a milestone project for the underprivileged, the Chief Minister stated that our administration has established more than 500 clinics and that about 12 lakh people have been treated in these clinics. He stated that special allocations have been made in this budget for these two important sectors in order to ensure ‘Sehatmand Punjab’.

Communal rooms for family celebrations considered to relieve financial burden

Bhagwant Mann said the Aam Aadmi Party governments in Delhi and Punjab were training guns on those who questioned the services offered to the common people “We are assisting people in obtaining basic necessities, but union government politicians refer to these as giveaways. He did, however, remark that these leaders have forgotten their leader’s political gimmick of proclaiming Rs. 15 lakh to each household and providing 2 crore employment every year “.

Chief Minister urges humility and listening to opposition MLAs for effective governance

“People of Punjab have given us an opportunity to serve the state, hence the onus is on us to use this opportunity for the people and not against the people,” the Chief Minister remarked, exhorting MLAs to follow in the footsteps of humility towards people. We must maintain our humility at all costs while serving the people with missionary passion, he stressed. He also urges MLAs to listen to opposition MLAs because they, too, represent the people in their constituencies.” In response to the extravagant weddings, the Chief Minister stated that his government was considering establishing communal rooms for family celebrations in villages to relieve the people of this financial load. The goal is not far when the intention is clear, said the Chief Minister, expressing hope that the state of Punjab will soon be known as Rangla Punjab.
