The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab will launch a door-to-door public outreach campaign to connect with people across the state, according to a party announcement shared on social media. The campaign will focus on communicating the Bhagwant Mann government’s work and decisions described by the party as being in the public interest.
The announcement was made by Manish Sisodia, AAP’s Punjab in-charge, who said party volunteers would directly engage with residents as part of the outreach programme.
AAP Volunteers to Highlight Bhagwant Mann Government Work
As part of the campaign, AAP volunteers will visit households and inform people about various initiatives and decisions taken by the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
The party said the door-to-door programme is intended to strengthen its direct communication with residents and provide information about the work carried out by the state government.
AAP to Raise Drug Issue During Public Outreach
According to AAP Punjab, volunteers will also discuss the issue of drug abuse in the state and raise allegations concerning the roles of previous governments.
The party said its volunteers will speak about what it describes as the introduction of drugs during the Akali-BJP government and their alleged promotion during the Congress government. These are political claims made by AAP as part of its outreach campaign.
Membership Campaign to Expand Party Outreach
The programme will also include a membership campaign aimed at connecting people from different age groups with what the party describes as honest politics.
AAP Punjab said the membership drive will seek to bring more residents into the party’s organisational network while expanding its engagement with people at the grassroots level.
