Three days later, 14 new cases of stubble burning have come to light in the district on Thursday. Farmers are not backing down from burning stubble despite wheat sowing being in full swing. There is laxity in taking action against those who play with the environment. The administration's awareness campaign is going on for the farmers not to burn the stubble.

The administration imposed environmental compensation of Rs 2.22 lakh

The total figure has reached 1349 after 14 new cases of stubble burning were reported in the district on Thursday. The administration has imposed environmental compensation of Rs 2.22 lakh. In one case, the police have also registered an FIR. Along with this, challans have been issued to 88 people. Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Jaswant Rai told that awareness campaign is going on from the department. Cases likely to end in coming days

Compared to last year, this time less cases of stubble burning have been reported. On the other hand, fine is being imposed by the administration. The cases of stubble burning are likely to end in the coming few days. The sowing of wheat by the farmers has also reached the verge of completion.
