“We have received information about the shameful behavior by Air India staff towards Singh Sahib, who is a highly respected personality of the Sikh faith. I strongly condemn the incident in the harshest terms and urge the Central Government to initiate a thorough investigation and ensure exemplary action against the guilty, so that such incidents are not repeated in the future,” Mann stated.

The Chief Minister’s remarks have added to growing pressure on the national carrier to address the issue publicly. While Air India has not yet released an official statement, calls for a formal apology and disciplinary measures are intensifying across political and religious circles.

Community leaders and Sikh organizations have also raised their voice, emphasizing that such disrespect towards religious figures reflects insensitivity and must be addressed with seriousness.

Further details of the incident, including the nature of the misconduct, are awaited. Meanwhile, CM Mann has assured that the Punjab government will closely follow the case to ensure justice is served.
