Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday expressed deep grief over the martyrdom of Indian Army Naib Subedar Pragat Singh, a resident of Ramdass village in Amritsar district, who laid down his life while on duty in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Sharing the tragic news, the Chief Minister paid heartfelt tributes to the fallen soldier, saluting his courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to the nation. He described the martyrdom of Naib Subedar Pragat Singh as an irreparable loss to the country and a moment of immense pride and sorrow for Punjab.

Bhagwant Mann Government Assures Full Support to Martyr’s Family

CM Bhagwant Mann extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and assured them of all possible assistance from the Punjab government during this difficult time.

“We salute the courage and indomitable spirit of the martyr who laid down his life in the service of the nation. The Punjab government stands firmly with the family and will ensure that every possible support is provided,” the Chief Minister said.

Nation Salutes the Supreme Sacrifice

The martyrdom of Naib Subedar Pragat Singh has sparked an outpouring of tributes across Punjab, with political leaders and citizens honoring his supreme sacrifice. His bravery and commitment to national security stand as a lasting inspiration for generations to come.

The state government will also extend every possible assistance to ensure the welfare and security of the bereaved family.

Naib Subedar Pragat Singh hailed from Ramdas village in Amritsar district and was serving the Indian Army with distinction. His martyrdom has cast a pall of gloom over the village, with locals remembering him as a disciplined and dedicated soldier who served the nation with honour.
