He added that the decision to hold the Assembly session at Anandpur Sahib reflects the government’s effort to connect governance with Punjab’s spiritual heritage. By bringing legislators to this sacred land, the state has not only honored Sikh history but also strengthened the bridge between Punjab’s democratic institutions and its cultural roots.

He added that holding the Assembly session at Anandpur Sahib, the sacred land associated with Sikh heritage and the birthplace of Khalsa values, sends a strong message about unity, harmony, and respect for India’s diverse spiritual traditions. The decision reflects the state’s commitment to honouring its roots while demonstrating that Punjab’s legislative framework remains deeply connected to its cultural and religious identity.

Leaders across parties and representatives from various communities acknowledged that such initiatives strengthen the bond between the government and the people, especially the youth, who often remain unaware of the depth of Sikh history. By organising the session amid the three-day commemoration, Punjab aims to inspire future generations with the timeless message of courage, sacrifice, and protection of human rights.

This historic session, attended by key leaders and watched live across the country, also serves as a reminder of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s universal message—upholding justice, safeguarding human rights, and standing firm against tyranny. Through this symbolic gathering, Punjab has reiterated its commitment to preserving the teachings of its Gurus while promoting unity, harmony, and constitutional values in contemporary governance.
