AAP leader Anurag Dhanda has criticised the ongoing Enforcement Directorate (ED) searches in Punjab, saying people in the state would not tolerate what he described as an “attack” from the Narendra Modi-led Centre.

In a post on X on September 24, Dhanda wrote, “Punjab ke log Delhi ki gaddi par baithe Modi ke hamle ko bardaasht nahi karenge,” and added, “Andar ED ki team hai aur bahar Punjabi.”
ED Searches at GMADA Premises
Dhanda’s remarks came as ED search and seizure operations continued at the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) office in Mohali and other locations in Punjab. The Punjab government has approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court over the ongoing operations.
The High Court has appointed a senior-rank warrant officer to monitor the search and seizure proceedings and submit a status report. During the hearing, the court was informed that senior Punjab government officials had allegedly been detained, a claim that remains part of the ongoing proceedings.
AAP Raises Political Objections
The Aam Aadmi Party has questioned the ED action and alleged that central agencies are being used to put political pressure on the Punjab government and its leaders. These allegations have been made by AAP and have not been established as findings against the Centre.
Dhanda’s latest statement adds to a series of AAP reactions against the ED searches, with party leaders accusing the Centre of interfering with the functioning of the Punjab government.
