Punjab: Arvind Kejriwal, national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), will kick start a key three-day visit to Punjab today to launch Amritsar's first School of Eminence, followed by a town hall meeting with business leaders and a public event.
In addition to addressing important concerns in the State, Kejriwal will take part in a number of significant programmes during this journey, carrying out important commitments made by the AAP Government during the 2023 assembly elections.
The opening of Punjab's first "School of Eminence" in Amritsar on Wednesday (September 13) is one of the highlights of Kejriwal's visit. The ambitious 'Education Guarantee' plan of the AAP, which aims to give Punjab's students a top-notch education, includes this project. The opening will be a historic event because it is the first of 117 similar "Schools of Eminence" that will open across Punjab. Arvind Kejriwal and the chief minister Bhagwant Mann will both help establish these institutes.
Following the inauguration, Kejriwal will speak before a large gathering in Amritsar, where he will interact with the locals and elaborate on the AAP's vision for Punjab.
With the gathering, the party will be able to show its dedication to openness, responsibility, and governance that puts the needs of the people first.
Kejriwal and Mann will have a town hall meeting with company owners in Amritsar and Jalandhar on the second day of his visit, which is September 14 (Thursday), giving the state's business owners a chance to express their concerns, particularly on policy issues affecting their companies.
During these sessions, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann may make key industry policy announcements, showing the AAP government's desire to promote a welcoming business environment in Punjab.
