Baltej Pannu to Haryana CM Nayab Saini: stop targeting Punjab to hide your failures, fix Haryana’s crumbling health system

While BJP-ruled Haryana struggles with pending dues, Bhagwant Mann Govt provides cashless treatment up to ₹10 lakh to 35 lakh families: Baltej Pannu

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab State Media In-charge Baltej Pannu launched a scathing attack on Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini over the Haryana government’s failure to effectively implement the Ayushman scheme. He said that the Haryana Chief Minister, in an attempt to hide his failures, frequently visits Punjab to raise baseless questions on the functioning of the AAP government, while the reality is that healthcare services in Haryana itself are on a ventilator.

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has issued a clear warning to the Haryana government that due to pending payments under the Ayushman scheme, most private hospitals are now preparing to stop treatment under the scheme. He asked that the Haryana CM must explain where the poor people in his state will go for treatment now.

AAP Punjab State Media In-charge Baltej Pannu stated, “While central schemes are collapsing in Haryana, the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government has ensured cashless treatment up to ₹10 lakh without any conditions under the ‘Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna’. The success of this scheme is evident from the fact that more than 35 lakh families in Punjab have already been covered under it. Punjab has today become the first state in the country where, by prioritizing education and healthcare, such major relief has been provided to the common people.”

He further stated that CM Nayab Singh Saini should stop worrying about Punjab and instead focus on resolving the issues of his own state. The AAP government in Punjab has brought a revolution in the healthcare sector with Aam Aadmi Clinics, modern government hospitals, and now free treatment up to ₹10 lakh.

“The Chief Minister of Haryana perhaps does not realize that treatment under the Ayushman scheme in his state has almost come to a halt, yet he does not miss any opportunity to question Punjab’s progress,” he added.

Advising the Haryana CM, Baltej Singh Pannu asserted, “If comparisons must be made, they should be made with the world-class facilities being provided by the Punjab government. He should stop misleading the public with baseless allegations, as people are aware and can clearly see who is working on the ground and who is merely doing politics. The AAP government in Punjab has demonstrated through its policies that if intentions are honest, it is possible to provide the best healthcare facilities to the people.”
