Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, the government claims to have made significant strides in improving school infrastructure, student safety, and digital accessibility.

Harjot Singh Bains Highlights Key Achievements in School Infrastructure and Digital Learning

According to Bains, 8,000 new boundary walls have been constructed across schools to ensure student safety, while 10,000 new classrooms have been built to provide better learning spaces. He also emphasized that no student in government schools now sits on the floor, as furniture has been provided in all institutions.

Additionally, Punjab now boasts 118 Schools of Eminence aimed at nurturing future leaders. Hygiene and sanitation have been prioritized, with separate and clean toilets installed for boys and girls in every government school. Moreover, clean drinking water is now available in all institutions.

The government has also integrated technology into education, with over 16,000 schools now equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, fostering a shift toward digital learning. More than 12,000 students are benefiting from free transport to school, ensuring accessibility to quality education.

To enhance security, 700 senior secondary schools have been provided with security guards, ensuring a safe learning environment for students.

“This is just the beginning,” Bains stated, adding that Punjab is on its way to building a world-class education system. He credited the progress to the vision of Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann, assuring citizens that more educational reforms are in the pipeline.

With the AAP government emphasizing education as a key pillar of governance, the coming years will determine the long-term impact of these reforms on Punjab’s academic landscape.
