The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab has intensified its war against drugs with significant results reported on the 104th day of its ongoing campaign. According to an official tweet from AAP Punjab, a total of 116 drug peddlers were arrested on a single day as part of a massive statewide crackdown.

Law enforcement conducted raids at 469 locations, registering 80 FIRs during this phase of the operation.

The campaign, launched to rid the state of the drug menace, has seen relentless action over the past 104 days. So far, a total of 17,282 drug traffickers have been apprehended, reflecting the scale and consistency of the drive.

AAP Leaders Have Reiterated Their Commitment To Making Punjab Drug Free State 

AAP leaders have reiterated their commitment to making Punjab a drug-free state and lauded the coordinated efforts of the police and local enforcement agencies in executing the operation. 

Since the start of the campaign, the Punjab police have arrested a total of 17,282 drug offenders, a number that reflects the scale of the drug problem in the state and the seriousness with which the current government is tackling it.

Government’s Strong Message

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has reiterated on multiple occasions that his government will not rest until the state is freed from the clutches of drug mafias. The AAP administration has received both public and political support for its consistent action, with many residents expressing relief at the sustained efforts.

“The state is determined to protect its youth from the poison of drugs,” an official spokesperson said. “Our goal is not only to punish the guilty but also to break the supply chain completely.”
