The initiative is part of the ‘Yudh Nashian De Virudh’ (War Against Drugs) movement aimed at raising awareness and mobilizing public support to eliminate drug abuse from the state.

The campaign will involve awareness drives, rallies, and community outreach programs

“Under the 'War Against Drugs' campaign, we are starting the 'Nasha Mukti Yatra' today. Joined by Arvind Kejriwal Ji at Langroya in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar to take this message to every corner of Punjab,” Bhagwant Mann tweeted in Punjabi and Hindi, going live from the launch site.

The campaign will involve awareness drives, rallies, and community outreach programs that highlight the dangers of substance abuse and the importance of rehabilitation. Special emphasis is being placed on youth engagement, school and college participation, and grassroots community involvement.

Addressing the gathering, CM Mann said the state government is committed to wiping out the drug menace, which has deeply affected generations in Punjab. He also reiterated the government’s ongoing crackdown on narcotic networks and vowed to make Punjab a drug-free and healthier state.

CM Kejriwal praised the initiative and pledged full support from the Delhi government and AAP’s central leadership, calling the campaign “a mission to save the youth of Punjab.”

The launch of the yatra marks a significant step in the state’s long-standing battle against drug addiction and trafficking. Officials confirmed that dedicated task forces, mobile rehab vans, and helplines will also be activated as part of the campaign in the coming days.

The 'Nasha Mukti Yatra' is expected to travel across all districts of Punjab in the weeks ahead.
