Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced that 818 young candidates will receive appointment letters for government jobs in various departments across Punjab.
According to the Chief Minister, the recruitment will be made in departments including Power, Local Government, Health, and Medical Education, providing employment opportunities to qualified youth in the state.

Mann said that with the latest appointments, the total number of government jobs provided by the Punjab government since April 2022 has reached 65,264.
He emphasised that the recruitment process has been conducted purely on the basis of merit, without any recommendations or bribery, highlighting the government’s commitment to transparent hiring practices.

The Chief Minister added that providing employment to youth is a key part of the government’s vision of building a “Rangla Punjab”, where young people are empowered through fair opportunities and stable careers.
Officials said the move is expected to strengthen public services in different departments while also addressing unemployment concerns among educated youth.
The state government has stated that its employment generation drive will continue, with more recruitment processes expected to take place in the coming months to provide additional opportunities for job seekers in Punjab.
The Chief Minister also reiterated that the government is focusing on creating both government and private sector employment opportunities to ensure long-term economic growth in the state.
He added that transparent recruitment and skill development initiatives are being prioritised to help young people secure stable careers and contribute to Punjab’s overall development.
