Bhagwant Mann Announces Nursing College At The Native Village Of Baba Sewa Singh Thikriwala

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced the conversion of a girls’ school to a nursing college at the native village of Praja Mandal Lehar Baba Sewa Singh Lakhriwala.

The Chief Minister, who came to attend the 89th death anniversary function of Baba Sewa Singh Lakhriwal today, said that this institution will be a true tribute to the great martyr, who sacrificed his life for the protection of the motherland.

He said that with this, the girls of the area will study in this institution and excel in the field of medical education. Bhagwant Mann said that this nursing college will open new avenues of employment for the girls of the area, and a new era of unprecedented development will begin.

The Chief Minister invited the people to follow the high ideals of public service established by Baba Sewa Singh Lakhriwal in his life. He said that Baba Sewa Singh Lakhriwal fought against the elite class and led the country to the path of freedomBhagwant Mann appealed to the people to follow the footsteps of this great martyr and fight against the new Panpe imperialism in the form of familism.

The Chief Minister also announced that the native village of Baba Sewa Singh Lakhriwal will be converted into a model village equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. He said that the state government has already named the Mohali airport after the great Shaheed Bhagat Singh in respect of the great freedom fighters and a 35 feet high statue of Shaheed-e-Azam will be installed on arrival at the airport. Bhagwant Mann also said that the state government will also pass a resolution in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha to name the Halwara airport after Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha.
