Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is continuously engaged in efforts to improve the state. Now CM Mann has announced to renovate Bathinda’s lakes and develop the city as a tourist hub in the state, especially in the Malwa region. The Chief Minister learned about the development works and problems during a special meeting with MLAs and higher administrative officials belonging to the district at Lake View here. CM Assuring to solve the problems on the basis of initiative, Bhagwant Mann said that no stone will be left unturned for the development of the district.
Jagroop Singh Gill demanded a new bus stand to get rid of the traffic problem in the city
On this occasion, MLA Bathinda (Urban) Jagroop Singh Gill demanded a new bus stand to get rid of the traffic problem in the city, on which Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann assured that another new bus stand would be given to the city soon. On this occasion, to solve the problem of clean drinking water for the residents of Bathinda city, the Chief Minister directed the officials to complete this project jointly with the Corporation and Powercom to treat Lake No. 1 as a water tank.
The Chief Minister said that in view of developing Bathinda city as a tourist hub in Malwa, the project of renovation of Bathinda lakes would also be started soon. During this, he also informed that on making farming a profitable business, special efforts are being made by the state government to take farmers out of the cycle of traditional crops and cultivate low-cost and high-income crops, due to which the farmers Income can be further expanded.
During this, the Chief Minister also told that special efforts are being made by the state government to raise the standard of education. Under this, new classrooms are being set up in view of the rejuvenation of government schools, so that students can be made companions of the times.
