Bhagwant Mann has intensified its crackdown on drug trafficking under its ongoing #YudhNashianVirudh (War Against Drugs) campaign. On the 524th day of the campaign, the police reported the arrest of 94 drug smugglers and the recovery of a significant quantity of narcotics.

According to Punjab Police, the operation led to the seizure of 23.5 kg of heroin, 970 grams of ICE, 11 kg of poppy husk and 370 intoxicant pills. Police also recovered ₹8,950 in suspected drug money from those arrested.

The latest action is part of Punjab Police’s sustained efforts to disrupt drug networks and prevent the distribution of narcotics across the state.
Authorities said the crackdown is focused on taking action against individuals involved in drug smuggling while simultaneously encouraging people affected by substance abuse to seek professional help.
Eight People Encouraged to Seek De-Addiction Treatment
Alongside enforcement measures, police said eight individuals were counselled and persuaded to undergo de-addiction and rehabilitation treatment.
The approach combines action against drug suppliers and traffickers with rehabilitation efforts aimed at helping people overcome substance dependence.
The Punjab Police reiterated its commitment to continuing the campaign against the state’s drug networks and working towards a drug-free Punjab.
