Punjab Police, in coordination with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), has intensified its statewide campaign against organized crime under the ongoing “Gangstran Te Vaar” operation. On Day 184 of the drive, police carried out large-scale raids across Punjab, leading to hundreds of arrests and the recovery of illegal weapons.

According to an official update shared by Punjab Police, authorities conducted 776 raids at identified locations linked to gangster networks across the state. The operation resulted in the arrest of 472 individuals, including eight proclaimed offenders. Police also recovered five weapons during the raids.

Total Arrests Cross 52,000

With the latest action, the total number of arrests made since the launch of the anti-gangster campaign has reached 52,174, highlighting the Punjab government’s continued efforts to curb organized crime.

Punjab Police said the coordinated operation was aimed at dismantling gangster networks, tracking wanted criminals, and strengthening public safety across the state. The department reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order through intelligence-based operations and sustained enforcement.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has consistently emphasized the government’s zero-tolerance policy against gangsters and criminal activities, stating that strict action will continue to ensure peace and security for the people of Punjab.
