Bhagwant Mann continued its intensified campaign against drug trafficking under the ongoing ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ initiative, carrying out raids across multiple locations in the state and arresting 91 alleged drug smugglers.

According to police officials, the latest crackdown resulted in the recovery of approximately 910 grams of heroin, 285 intoxicant tablets and capsules, and drug money amounting to ₹5.07 lakh. The operation was conducted as part of the state’s broader effort to dismantle narcotics networks and curb the illegal drug trade.

Authorities stated that coordinated raids were carried out in different districts, targeting individuals suspected of involvement in drug trafficking and related criminal activities. The action forms part of a sustained enforcement campaign being undertaken by Punjab Police against organized drug networks.

In addition to enforcement measures, the campaign also includes rehabilitation and de-addiction efforts. Officials said that 11 individuals were counselled and encouraged to undergo treatment and rehabilitation programs aimed at helping them overcome substance dependence.
