Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann joined AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal at Baba Budha Dal Cantonment in Sri Anandpur Sahib to participate in the concluding ceremony of Shri Akhand Paath Sahib Ji, organised to mark the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Hind Di Chadar, Sahib Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

During the ceremony, CM Mann bowed before Sri Guru Granth Sahib Maharaj and listened to the soul-stirring Ilahi Bani Kirtan performed by traditional Keertan jathas. He also interacted with the Nanak Naam Leva Sangat, who had gathered in large numbers to pay tribute to the revered ninth Sikh Guru.
The event highlighted Punjab’s deep-rooted spiritual heritage, with leaders emphasising the timeless values of sacrifice, unity, and communal harmony. Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s martyrdom is globally recognised as a supreme act of protecting religious freedom and humanity. His unparalleled courage and commitment continue to inspire generations across the world.
Bhagwant Mann offered prayers for Punjab’s prosperity, communal unity and the strengthening of Punjabiyat. He said that Guru Sahib’s teachings guide the state towards peace, progress, and shared brotherhood.
Historic Legacy and National Reverence
Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, fondly remembered as Hind Di Chadar, laid down his life in 1675 to defend the right to practice faith freely. His martyrdom remains a monumental chapter in India’s civilisational history. The 350th martyrdom year has been observed across Punjab with large-scale programmes, devotional gatherings, social service drives, and community prayers.
