Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann participated in the religious programme ‘Ek Shaam Bhagwan Shiv Ke Naam’ in Amritsar, where he offered prayers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva.

The event was also attended by Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab AAP in-charge Manish Sisodia. During the programme, the party announced a series of initiatives related to religious tourism, cultural activities, and infrastructure development in the state.
Five Major Announcements Made for Punjab
Among the key announcements was the organisation of ‘Ek Shaam Shiv Ji Ke Naam’ events in all 22 cities of Punjab. The programme aims to promote cultural and spiritual activities across the state.
The party also announced that the Kali Mata Temple in Patiala will undergo redevelopment at an estimated cost of ₹80 crore. The project is intended to improve facilities for devotees while preserving the temple’s heritage.
In another announcement, three new routes will be added to the Chief Minister Teerth Yatra Scheme, covering Salasar Khatu Shyam, Haridwar–Rishikesh, and Mathura–Vrindavan, allowing more pilgrims to visit prominent religious destinations.
The leadership further stated that the theatrical production ‘Hamare Ram’ will be staged across Punjab from August 1, with the objective of promoting cultural and religious values through performing arts.
Additionally, it was announced that a temple dedicated to Luv-Kush and Mata Janaki will be constructed in Amritsar as part of efforts to enhance the state’s religious and cultural landscape.
According to the party, these initiatives are aimed at strengthening religious tourism, preserving cultural heritage, and expanding facilities for devotees across Punjab.
