Bhagwant Mann, in coordination with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), has continued its statewide crackdown against gangster networks, conducting targeted raids at identified locations across the state.
According to Punjab Police, 584 raids were carried out as part of the ongoing campaign against organised criminal networks. The latest operation resulted in the arrest of 250 individuals, while nine proclaimed offenders were also apprehended.
The police said the raids were conducted at locations that had been identified and mapped as part of efforts to track individuals linked to gangster networks and organised criminal activities.
Total Arrests Cross 68,000: Bhagwant Mann
With the latest arrests, the total number of people arrested since the launch of the statewide campaign has reached 68,115, according to the Punjab Police.
The continuing operations are aimed at disrupting the activities of gangster groups and preventing criminal networks from expanding their influence across the state.
Punjab Police said its coordination with the AGTF remains focused on identifying suspects, taking action against wanted individuals and dismantling criminal networks through targeted enforcement operations.
Police Appeal for Public Cooperation
The police have also urged members of the public to share information related to gangster activities. People can provide information anonymously through the Anti-Gangster Helpline at 93946-93946.
Authorities said public cooperation can help law enforcement agencies identify criminal networks and take timely action against those involved.
