Punjab Police, in coordination with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), has intensified its statewide operation against organised gangster networks, carrying out 598 targeted raids across the state.

According to the Punjab Police, the latest operation resulted in the arrest of 370 individuals, including five proclaimed offenders. Law enforcement agencies also recovered four weapons during the raids.
The operation forms part of the ongoing ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ campaign aimed at identifying, disrupting and dismantling criminal networks operating across Punjab.
With the latest arrests, the total number of people arrested since the campaign was launched has reached 67,207, reflecting the scale of the statewide crackdown.
Punjab Police said the coordinated action is focused on locations identified and mapped as being linked to gangster activities. The force reiterated its commitment to tackling organised crime and strengthening public safety across the state.
Police have also appealed to citizens to share information about gangster activities. Information can be provided anonymously through the Anti-Gangster Helpline at 93946-93946.
