Bhagwant Mann continued its large-scale anti-gangster campaign across the state as part of its ongoing operation titled “Gangstran Te Vaar,” aimed at dismantling organized criminal networks and strengthening public safety.

According to an official update shared by Punjab Police, coordinated raids were conducted in collaboration with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) at multiple identified locations across Punjab.
Police officials stated that a total of 598 raids were carried out during the latest phase of the operation. During the crackdown, 315 individuals were detained for questioning and verification, while seven proclaimed offenders were apprehended. Authorities also recovered eight weapons during the raids.

With the latest action, the cumulative number of arrests made under the anti-gangster campaign has reportedly reached 29,700 since the operation began. The police described the drive as part of an intelligence-led strategy focused on curbing gang-related crime, extortion, illegal weapons activity, and organized criminal operations in the state.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has repeatedly emphasized strict action against criminal networks, while police authorities have maintained that the campaign will continue with sustained enforcement measures and coordinated operations.
The department also appealed to citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by sharing information related to criminal activity through its anti-gangster helpline. Officials said public participation remains important in maintaining law and order and ensuring safer communities across Punjab.
The ongoing campaign has become one of the state’s major law enforcement initiatives targeting gang activity and organized crime through continuous surveillance, raids, and intelligence-based policing.
