Bhagwant Mann continued its statewide anti-gangster campaign under the ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ initiative, carrying out targeted raids at identified locations across Punjab in coordination with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF).
According to official information, 509 raids were conducted during the latest phase of the operation.
Bhagwant Mann: Hundreds Arrested During Action Against Criminal Networks
Police stated that 229 individuals were arrested during the crackdown, while three proclaimed offenders were apprehended.
Authorities also reported the recovery of 10 weapons during the operations aimed at dismantling gangster and organized crime networks operating in the state.
Total Arrests Cross 32,000
With the latest operations, the cumulative number of arrests made since the launch of the campaign has reached 32,187, according to Punjab Police.
The department said the campaign is being carried out through intelligence-based raids and coordinated enforcement actions in different districts.
Government Emphasizes Law-and-Order Measures
The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has repeatedly highlighted anti-crime operations as part of its law-and-order agenda.
Punjab Police stated that it remains committed to taking action against gangster networks, illegal weapons, extortion activities, and organized crime to ensure public safety across the state.
Helpline Issued for Public Information
Authorities have also appealed to citizens to share information related to criminal activities through the Anti-Gangster Helpline to support ongoing enforcement operations.
