Bhagwant Mann Continues Statewide Anti-Gangster Drive on Day 117 of Campaign

During the operation, 279 individuals were detained for questioning and verification, while eight proclaimed offenders were apprehended.

Bhagwant Mann continued its statewide crackdown on organized crime under the ongoing “Gangstran Te Vaar” campaign, carrying out raids and enforcement operations across multiple locations in Punjab.

According to official information shared by the police department, the latest phase of the operation was conducted in coordination with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) through targeted intelligence-based raids against suspected gangster networks.

Bhagwant Mann: Raids, Detentions and Weapon Recovery

Police officials stated that 573 raids were conducted during Day 117 of the campaign. During the operation, 279 individuals were detained for questioning and verification, while eight proclaimed offenders were apprehended. Authorities also reported the recovery of three weapons during the raids.

With the latest action, the cumulative number of arrests made under the anti-gangster campaign has reportedly reached 29,979 since the initiative began.

Focus on Organized Crime and Public Safety

Punjab Police said the campaign is aimed at dismantling gangster networks involved in criminal activities such as extortion, illegal arms operations, and organized violence. Officials stated that intelligence-led policing and coordinated enforcement operations are being used to strengthen law and order across the state.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has repeatedly emphasized strict action against criminal groups and anti-social elements operating in Punjab.

Appeal for Public Cooperation

The police department also urged citizens to cooperate by sharing information related to criminal activity through the anti-gangster helpline. Authorities stated that public participation remains important in maintaining peace, improving security, and supporting ongoing crime-control efforts across Punjab.

The “Gangstran Te Vaar” campaign has become one of the major law enforcement initiatives undertaken by Punjab Police to curb organized crime and strengthen public safety in the state.
