Bhagwant Mann discusses key highway projects with Nitin Gadkari in Delhi

Aam Aadmi Party Punjab on Tuesday said several pending road infrastructure projects in Punjab are expected to move forward after Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann held a meeting with Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi.

According to the party, the meeting focused on resolving issues related to National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) projects and other pending road infrastructure matters in Punjab.

AAP Punjab stated that several important concerns linked to highway development and delayed projects were discussed and solutions were worked out during the meeting.

Bhagwant Mann: Focus on road infrastructure and pending projects

The party said the discussions covered multiple road and transport-related projects connected with the NHAI in Punjab, with an emphasis on speeding up completion work and removing administrative hurdles.

Officials believe that the progress of these projects could improve road connectivity, transportation efficiency and infrastructure development across various regions of the state.

Road Safety Force initiative praised

Apart from infrastructure projects, discussions were also held regarding Punjab’s ‘Sadak Surakhya Force’ (SSF), a dedicated road safety initiative launched by the state government.

According to AAP Punjab, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari appreciated the establishment of the SSF and described it as an initiative that could serve as an inspiration for other states across the country.
