Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Bhagwant Mann wrote in Punjabi:

("Wishing the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji, a very happy birthday... May God always keep you healthy and ever-progressing.")

President Droupadi Murmu, who assumed office on July 25, 2022, has received nationwide appreciation for her humility, grounded leadership, and commitment to tribal rights and social justice. On her birthday, greetings poured in from across the political spectrum, including leaders from the BJP, Congress, and regional parties.

Mann’s wishes reflect a gesture of national unity, highlighting the respect Indian political figures accord to the office of the President, regardless of party lines. His birthday message, written in both Hindi and Punjabi, also signals a sense of inclusiveness and connection with the diverse linguistic fabric of the country.

Born in Mayurbhanj, Odisha, Murmu is the first tribal woman and only the second woman ever to become the President of India. Her journey from a modest background to Rashtrapati Bhavan continues to inspire millions across the nation.

As the nation celebrated her birthday, Rashtrapati Bhavan also saw a day of quiet ceremonies and well-wishers, with several school children, social groups, and diplomats visiting or sending messages to mark the occasion.
