The Bhagwant Mann Government has announced a major decision aimed at reducing the financial burden on parents by regulating annual fee hikes in private schools across the state.
Bhagwant Mann Government Caps Private School Fee Hike at 5%
Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that, under the Bhagwant Mann-led government, private schools will no longer be allowed to increase their annual fees by more than 5%. The government has also directed that any excess fee collected beyond the permitted limit must be refunded to parents.
