Bhagwant Mann Government Committed to Taking Guru Ravidas Ji’s Message of Equality to the World

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on the occasion of the 649th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji said that the Mann government is committed to spreading the Guru’s message of equality, dignity, and shared humanity to every corner of the world. He was addressing a state-level religious gathering at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib.

CM Mann said that the life and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji inspire society to rise above divisions of caste, class, and status, and instead uphold the values of human equality and mutual respect. He emphasized that Guru Ravidas Ji’s philosophy is especially relevant in today’s times, when social harmony and inclusiveness are more important than ever.

Bhagwant Mann: Guru Ravidas Memorial to Strengthen Social Unity

Highlighting the government’s initiatives, the Chief Minister said that a Guru Ravidas Memorial has been constructed at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib at a cost of ₹144 crore. The memorial will serve as a lasting symbol of social justice and equality, while also educating future generations about the Guru’s teachings and spiritual legacy.

He further informed that infrastructure facilities are being strengthened at the pilgrimage site, including the installation of a tube well and a 75,000-litre water tank at Charan Chhoh Ganga Amrit Kund, ensuring adequate amenities for devotees visiting from across India and abroad.

Year-long Programmes Ahead of 650th Parkash Purab

CM Bhagwant Mann announced that year-long programmes will be organised across Punjab and beyond in the run-up to the 650th Parkash Purab in February 2027. These initiatives aim to promote the message of equality and human dignity among youth and society at large.

“The objective of our government is not limited to celebrations alone, but to ensure that the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji become a guiding force in everyday life,” the Chief Minister said, adding that Punjab has always been the land of social reformers and saints who worked for humanity.

Guru Ravidas Ji Belonged to Entire Humanity

The Chief Minister concluded by stating that Sri Guru Ravidas Ji was not limited to any one community but belonged to all of humanity. His words continue to guide society towards unity, compassion, and social harmony, and will remain relevant for generations to come.

A large number of devotees, social organisations, and local residents participated in the celebrations, marking the occasion with devotion and enthusiasm.
