AAP MLA Chetan Singh Jouramajra distributed compensation amounts to flood-affected families in Sassi Brahmanan and Hashampur villages of the Samana constituency. On this occasion, he said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government is ensuring that every family affected by floods receives timely assistance.

MLA Jouramajra stated that the Mann government took prompt action to support the farmers and residents affected by the floods. He emphasized that no family should be left waiting for compensation for their crop or property losses.

He added that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had made it clear during the flood crisis that the government stands firmly with the people. The Mann government conducted detailed assessments in the affected areas and began distributing compensation at a rate of ₹20,000 per acre to the flood-hit farmers.

Local farmers expressed their gratitude to the Mann government, noting that this is the first time they have received full compensation on time. They praised the government’s swift response and called it a “true example of people-first governance.”
