The Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government has ensured a smooth and uninterrupted paddy procurement process across the state, reaffirming its commitment to the welfare of farmers. So far, payments worth ₹7,472 crore have been made directly to farmers, ensuring transparency and timely disbursement.

According to the Punjab government, 100% lifting of procured paddy has already been completed in several districts, marking a major success in the ongoing procurement season. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has directed officials to maintain strict and continuous monitoring of procurement operations to ensure that no farmer faces inconvenience.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government is committed to lifting every single grain of farmers’ produce and providing all necessary facilities at procurement centers. Mann also appreciated the coordination between various departments and agencies that made the procurement process efficient and farmer-friendly.

Officials said that arrangements related to payment, transportation, and storage have been streamlined to prevent delays. Procurement centers across the state have been equipped with adequate staff, weighing machines, and storage capacity to manage the heavy inflow of paddy.

Meanwhile, the Food and Civil Supplies Department confirmed that daily reviews are being conducted to monitor the progress of procurement and payment distribution. The government also appealed to farmers to bring their produce to designated mandis to avoid overcrowding and ensure smoother operations.

The Bhagwant Mann government has repeatedly emphasized that farmer welfare remains its top priority, and every effort will be made to protect their interests while maintaining the integrity of the procurement process.
