Bhagwant Mann Government Intensifies Anti-Drug Drive as Punjab Police Marks Day 312 of ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’

Punjab Police has once again appealed to citizens to cooperate and share information related to drug activities.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Punjab’s fight against drugs continued with full intensity as Punjab Police completed Day 312 of the ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign, registering major action against drug smuggling networks across the state.

According to official data shared by Punjab Police and ANTF Punjab, coordinated raids and search operations were carried out at 312 locations statewide. These operations led to the arrest of 107 drug smugglers in a single day.

Bhagwant Mann: Heroin Recovered, Total Arrests Cross 43,500

During the operations, the police recovered 6.2 kilograms of heroin along with other contraband substances, dealing a significant blow to illegal drug supply chains. With the latest arrests, the total number of drug smugglers arrested in the last 312 days has risen to 43,544, highlighting the sustained nature of the crackdown.

Focus on Enforcement and Rehabilitation

Officials said the campaign is not limited to law enforcement alone. As part of the EDP (Enforcement, De-addiction and Prevention) strategy, 41 individuals were persuaded to undergo de-addiction treatment, reinforcing the government’s emphasis on rehabilitation alongside strict action.

Commitment to a Drug-Free Punjab

The Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards narcotics, stating that the mission aims to protect the youth and restore social health. Punjab Police has once again appealed to citizens to cooperate and share information related to drug activities.

With continuous action on the ground, the state remains firm in its resolve to achieve a Nasha Mukt Punjab, combining strict policing with community awareness and treatment initiatives.
