In a significant escalation of its War Against Drugs, the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government has launched a bulldozer crackdown on drug traffickers, beginning with illegal properties in Amritsar. The operation, broadcast live by AAP Punjab, targeted buildings and structures allegedly acquired through drug money, signaling the state's firm resolve to dismantle the financial backbone of narcotics networks.

Sharing visuals from the crackdown, AAP Punjab tweeted that this action is part of a broader strategy to send a strong message to drug mafias operating in the state. Officials confirmed that the campaign aims not only to punish offenders but also to dismantle their economic foundations.

The Punjab Police, along with local administration, identified and verified the properties before initiating demolition. The government has reiterated its commitment to adopting a zero-tolerance policy toward drug trafficking and organized crime. The bulldozer campaign is expected to continue in other districts in the coming days as authorities intensify their efforts to curb the narcotics menace and restore law and order in affected regions.
